Moulin Rouge

·      Close up shot on the man’s face when he is writing, it shows his emotion and connects you more to him.

·      When the shots are going through the street, it slows down on people’s faces that they want you to see then speeds up through the street

·      The lighting is very dark at the beginning to make you feel empathy for the man but when there is shots from the Moulin rouge it’s very colorful and looks happy.

·      Use a lot of jump shots when they’re trying to show all of the scenes from the Moulin rouge

·      Fast edit to show how fast and how much fun during the Moulin rouge

·      The music is very slow to go with voice over and how fast the camera Is moving

·      The whole scene occurs in the passage of time except for when he is looking back a year ago during the Moulin rouge

Jeep Commercial Analysis

1.     The rhythm was very fast and upbeat to show how great your life can be if you have a jeep and the audio worked at the same pace with the film.

2.     It isn’t in the passage of time because there is all different shots of all the place they use the jeep driving so you get the sense that you are moving to a new location, they also did this because there was limited time in the commercial.

3.     Graphic matches are used in this commercial, the flickering between the white lines of the road, sunset

Photo Analysis

Picture 1:
The photo of the clipboard is slightly blurred so that our attention is drawn to general information of the person. By using a dark light it makes it seem scary and important.

Picture 2:
In the photo of the workplace it is very dark and cluttered. The leading lines lead up to the man in who is standing up above everyone by using these and also by using lighting from above only him makes him look powerful. Everyone is working while he is just standing there, you can tell by looking at this picture that he is the boss of the factory.

Picture 3:

He looks like he doing something in secret because of the lighting that is used from below. His facial expression is confused or worried about something, he is also looking at something in this shot.

Mad Hatter

                                The Mad Hatter

What type of person is the character?
The mad hatter is seems to be a very anxious and worried person, this is shown when he hides Alice in the teapot whilst the guards are present.

What lead you to feel this way about the character?
The scene where Alice is hiding in the teapot and the guards are around, he seems very nervous before they arrive and also when they arrive.

The lighting and audio definitely contributed to how I feel about the character, by using the dark lighting and music it makes it more suspenseful and scary.
