Portia finished today and on Monday her and I will be starting on the EDL whilst Tilly and Liv finish their final shots. All of our animationish shots are finished so we will begin editing once we have finished the EDL and the last shots have been shot so at this stage we will be starting to edit on Tuesday and Wednesday at the latest. There is only week until the music video is DUE so this week we will really need to utilise and manage our time wisely.

I HAVE FINISHED ALL OF MY SHOTS! All of my parts in the music video have now been shot which is great! Portia has one more left which we will complete tomorrow, Liv and Tilly still have a few to do so at this stage is looks like on Monday they will be filming theres whilst Portia and I begin on the EDL.

Liv and I filmed ourselves as being swedish house mafia. I have nearly finished all of my shots, tomorrow ill be the last day I need to use and I will be filming my scenes as me being mackelmore and then I will be finished. Everyone seems to working well together and we have all nearly finished out shots. I am to start editing Monday so hopefully everyone is ready by then!

In Today's lesson, we filmed my part as Taylor swift and also as the lady out of macklemore's film clip clip "thrift shop", Liv was also Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake. We are on track and after next week's 3 lesson's we will be finished filming and then use that entire week to edit. The only thing that will probably take a while which we all individually do to make the process quicker is finding the correct backgrounds for our scenes as they were all filmed on the green screen.

On Tuesday's lesson, I was not filmed but we refilmed Portia's scene as we didn't have the right camera last time we filmed and also we filmed Liv's part of her being Zedd. Tomorrow we will be filming another scene and I will be Taylor Swift.At this stage everything is going well, we are ahead of our schedule and have filmed a lot so far and I don't think it will take long until we are done.

Today we filmed Miley Cyrus, Brittney Spears, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. We all filmed each other's sections and we all have copies of the videos we filmed today. Tomorrow we will be filming another celebrity each, I think it will take about 2 more lessons (including tomorrow) and maybe 2 after school and we should be finished filming so that we can use all of week 4 to edit as ours will take a lot of time editing.

MUSIC VIDEO CLIP TREATMENT

Type of clip (Highlight your choice/s) performance / narrative / collage Concept for clip Explain what narrative/images the clip will contain	We are making a performance video and in the video we will be mimicking music videos but also adding a visual message e.g. same dance moves or a something that is repetitive in all of the different music videos. The song that we have chosen is a mashup of 40 songs and we have all been assigned different characters which we will research and find exactly what shots we want to use from their different music videos.
Message What message will your clip contain or what is its purpose? Style What look and feel will your clip have?	The type of clip is performance and those type of music videos don’t always have a particular message but our message will be told visually. The clip is supposed to fun so it is supposed to be obvious that we are mimicking the videos but also look like a good video not just a joke.
Technical codes Explain the ideas you have about camera work, transition devices, lighting, special effects, framing and composition	We are going to be using the green screen for majority of our video so we will need to be using lighting a lot as well as photoshop, istop motion and animationish because we want to use all of the skills we have gathered over the past 2 years!
Audio codes What is the song about and how do the lyrics relate to the visuals you have selected? Will you be adding an additional sound?	The lyrics make sense but I wouldn’t say they’re a as crucial part in the video because they’re a mash up so there is no way they would be able to tell a clear message. We won’t be adding additional sound.
Pace What sort of pace does your song have and how will this be reflected and created in your clip? Written codes If you are using any written codes, what text will you use? What is its significance? Symbolic codes Will there be any symbols in your clip and what will they be? Will you repeat any images or use a motif? How will the symbolism you have used contribute to the message of your clip?	The song’s past is very fast and the video will be similar so we will be using a lot of fast shots. We will not be using any written codes. We will be using repetitive dance moves and certain angles throughout the film so they will repeat throughout the film and this will one of the visual messages. These will just help with the flow of the film.
Key elements of mise-en-scene to be used Explain the settings needed and outline key props and costumes needed	We will need to use lighting, a lot of costumes as there are so many different people we need to be throughout this video and we need to make it obvious who we are, this will also be shown through how well the acting is.
Appeal What things in your clip do you think will appeal to a youth audience?	I believe that the mashup and how things are always changing and you don’t know what’s coming because no one would know what song is coming next. I think that will keep everyone interested in the video!
